Huiyin Dance Troupe
In 2009, the Wuxi Special Education School established the Huiyin Dance Troupe for hearing-impaired students. This troupe provides a platform for dance-loving students with hearing impairments to showcase their artistic talent. In 2009, the troupe won first place in the 7th National Art Performance by People with Disabilities and secured the gold medal in the GDF Global Youth Dance Competition Korea Finals in 2023.

The Disabled Persons' Federation of Qingmingqiao
The federation and the culture station in Qingmingqiao sub-district, Liangxi district, organized an art performance in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in 2024. The performance mixes individuals with disabilities and those without, highlighting the positive and indomitable spirit of people with disabilities while emphasizing societal support and care for this community.
Wuxi cultural and art promotion classes for people with disabilities
Wuxi has launched cultural and art promotion classes for people with disabilities to enhance their physical fitness and mental well-being, showcase their talent, and inspire their self-esteem and confidence. The classes invite big shots in the sector to provide training in singing, instruments, Chinese painting, and calligraphy. The music promotion classes include beginner and advanced vocal music courses, as well as guitar lessons.
Wuxi Light of Soul Choir of the visually-impaired
Founded by volunteers, the choir comprises visually impaired individuals with varying degrees of blindness. It has conducted 71 large-scale welfare performances across various cities, including Wuxi, Nanjing, Yangzhou, Rizhao, and Dinghai, attracting over 200,000 people. As members are unable to read musical notation, the choir relies entirely on auditory cues and has grown through its passion for singing.
Home for People with Disabilities in Meicun
The "Home for People with Disabilities" in Meicun sub-district, Xinwu district, has launched training courses for erhu and African drum music, collaboratively developed by a group of leading literary and artistic workers.
Jiangyin sports and arts training programs for people with disabilities
Jiangyin, a county-level city of Wuxi, has promoted seven sports and art training programs, including dry land curling, vocal music, instrumental music, table tennis, badminton, and calligraphy. These initiatives aim to meet the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities, helping them integrate into society and lead fuller lives.
